3 Modern Farmhouse Ideas On Houzz I Love
3 Modern Farmhouse things I love on Houzz.com
Getting ready to close on our house this week. I can't stop using #Houzz! It's so easy to find what I'm looking for and save products for future projects. Saving tile, shopping for light fixtures, or general style tips, I love this site. Hit me up if you want some advice on current trends or styles I see popping up in our market.
1. I have been looking at a ton of #ModernFarmhouse styles for both interior and exterior. This style is starting to become very popular in the #HillCountry for both residential and commercial use. Some builders are picking up on it and using this as a basis for their designs. I think this style is unique because it blends a warm, traditional style that has lasted 100s of years with an updated but simple concept of smooth lines and neutral tones. 2. Kitchens are a vital part to any home, but are especially important to a farmhouse. #Southerncooking like biscuits and gravy, require ample counter space for prep and granite/marble countertops makes cleanup simple. I love this Gold hardware and blue cabinet combo, plus the carrera marble and subway tile round out a beautiful, elegant design:
3. A favorite new trend I'm seeing in bathrooms is the use of a patterned tile for the floors. In traditional modern design, this would not work, but because the farmhouse style allows warmth against a neutral backdrop, it works. I have seen great deals on this tile at #FloorandDecor and #Wayfair.com, matched with subway tile and white cabinets to make the patterns pop out! See:
